1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using PurrTalk ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Service Description
PurrTalk is a personal reflection tool for relationship pattern analysis that provides:
Relationship Analysis:
- Imports LINE chat exports stored on your device.
- Generates a relationship report including a 5-dimensional score (Volume, Warmth, Pace, Care, Progress), an overall score, and a relationship grade (S to D).
- Matches your conversation to one of 20 relationship archetypes (8 friendship, 8 romantic, 4 ambiguous tracks).
- Provides time-window switching (All time / 30 days / 7 days) for the score recompute, where supported by your data.
- Look-Back: cross-report longitudinal review (unlocks at 3+ reports per chat partner).
AI Persona Chat:
- Lets you chat with an "AI Persona" — a pattern reflection built from the analysis. The Persona is an AI-generated reflection, not the real person.
- Five "Counsel" lenses (Lover / Someone I Like / More Than Friends / Ex / Dating App) switch the AI's stance to expert reflection through that specific relational frame.
Content Management:
- History Management: Access and manage all your reports and analyzed chats.
- Individual or bulk deletion options available.
- "Delete All Data" feature for complete erasure of local and backend data.
PurrTalk is NOT a therapy service, a medical device, a relationship advisor, or a fortune-teller.
3. Daily Quotas
The App operates on a tiered daily-quota model (no credits to purchase):
- Free tier: 3 chat reads (analyses) per day; 5 Persona pings per day; 3-month archive visibility.
- Plus tier: Unlimited chat reads; 30 Persona pings per day; permanent archive; deeper report variants; longitudinal trend chart.
- Plus Max tier: Unlimited chat reads; 200 Persona pings per day; permanent archive; deepest report variants; early access to upcoming features (when available).
Quotas reset daily at local midnight. Failed AI requests automatically refund their quota.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
You may subscribe to premium plans through Apple In-App Purchase. All purchases are processed through Apple's payment system and managed via your Apple ID.
Subscription Plans (yen-anchored; other regions auto-converted by Apple):
- Plus Monthly: ¥780/month (auto-renewable). Renews monthly unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Plus Yearly: ¥6,800/year (auto-renewable, marked "Best Value" — equivalent to ¥19/day). Renews annually unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Plus Max Monthly: ¥1,680/month (auto-renewable). Renews monthly unless cancelled.
- Plus Max Yearly: ¥14,800/year (auto-renewable, "Best Value" — equivalent to ¥41/day). Renews annually unless cancelled.
One-Time Purchases (Lifetime, non-consumable):
- Plus Lifetime: ¥19,800 (one-time). Permanent Plus entitlement; never expires.
- Plus Max Lifetime: ¥39,800 (one-time). Permanent Plus Max entitlement; never expires.
Subscription Terms:
- All subscription purchases are processed through Apple's payment system.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions via your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS).
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.
- Unused quota and partial subscription periods may not be refunded after Apple's refund window.
- Prices may change. We will surface material price changes in-app before they apply to your renewals.
- A Free tier with daily quotas is permanently available.
5. User Content and Ownership
Regarding the chat data and content you import:
- You retain all ownership rights to your imported chat data.
- You retain ownership of the analysis results generated from your chat data, subject to the AI providers' terms.
- You grant us a temporary license to process your chat data for analysis and Persona generation purposes.
- Sampled chat excerpts are processed in transient backend memory and the full result is held in edge cache for up to 30 minutes; long-term backend storage retains only derived metrics.
- Generated content (reports, archetype matches, Persona replies) is delivered to your device.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import and analyze the chat data, including the consent of all chat participants where required by law.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to use the App to:
- Analyze chat exports of conversations you did not participate in.
- Import chat data of minors without parental consent.
- Use Persona Chat to impersonate, defame, harass, or otherwise harm the chat partner whose messages you imported.
- Present Persona output as if it were the real person's words.
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or violates others' rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the App's functionality except as permitted by applicable law.
- Use the service for any commercial purposes without permission.
- Share or resell access to your account, subscription entitlement, or quota.
- Forge transactions, exceed published rate limits, or share account credentials.
7. Service Availability
- The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- Analysis times may vary based on chat size, server load, and AI service responsiveness.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with notice.
- Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary service interruptions.
- A Lite-Mode fallback runs locally if the AI backend is unavailable.
8. Usage Limits
To ensure fair usage, we enforce the following limits:
- Daily quotas as specified in §3 (Daily Quotas).
- Maximum file size for chat imports: 20 MB per file.
- Rate limits per device may apply to prevent abuse.
- These limits may be adjusted to maintain service quality.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Reflection, not prediction. Analysis results and Persona Chat responses are AI-generated reflections of textual patterns observed in your imported chat. They are NOT clinical assessments, behavioral predictions, relationship verdicts, or recommendations. The App will not tell you whether to break up, confess, reach out, or take any other action.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
- Analysis results are accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular use.
- The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- AI providers will return any specific output for any specific input.
- AI-generated content is free of errors, inaccuracies, or biased representations.
AI-Specific Disclaimers:
- AI-generated content (analysis, Persona replies, Counsel reflections) may contain inaccuracies, biases, or misleading representations. You should not rely on AI-generated content as factual depictions of any person.
- You must not use AI-generated content to impersonate, deceive, or misrepresent any person's identity. Creating deepfake or fraudulent identity content is strictly prohibited.
- We are not liable for any consequences arising from your use, distribution, or publication of AI-generated content.
- AI Persona replies are not the words of the real person; they are statistical reflections of patterns observed in chat.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or relationships, arising from or related to your use of the App.
Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
11. Termination
- You may stop using the App at any time. Use "Delete All Data" in the Me tab before uninstalling for complete erasure.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or if continued service becomes commercially or legally impractical.
- Upon termination, your subscription does not refund pre-paid periods, except where required by law or by Apple's refund policy.
- Generated content remains accessible if you reinstall the app on the same device, unless you executed "Delete All Data" first.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law) survive.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court (東京地方裁判所) as the court of first instance, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
